Darjeeling Tea
Darjeeling Tea
Grown in Darjeeling, a town in eastern India, and celebrated around the world, this black tea yields a light cup with a pleasing apricot color. Smooth and with a slight floral note, Darjeeling teas are usually described as having a musky spiciness with a cool finish.
Use 1 heaping TSP (3 g) of tea leaves per 6 oz of water. Bring water just to a rolling boil (200–212 degrees F). Steep for 3-5 minutes. For a stronger brew, use more tea rather than more time, as steeping too long can result in a bitter tea.
