About the original piece: I completed this abstract piece during Pluto's last retrograde into Capricorn for the next 300 years.  The copper, black, and grey in this pattern remind me of some retro fabrics and prints from the 70's.  A large concentric circle design in french plaster and copper foil is set against a black background filled with a hexagonal grid pattern. The contrast between the spiral and the geometric grid creates a dynamic visual effect.
